   Sonodore phono pre-amplifier PPA-12
When it comes to a phono pre-amplifier, noise and hum is very important. That's why we have designed a very low noise pre-amplifier with an extreme low self
noise of 0,003uV (A-weight) and a power supply with  lead-acid batteries of 12V.
With the design of the phone pre-amplifier, we used over 24 years experience of
building supremely refined professional audio equipment,
In the design phase we have done a lot of listening test and every component is selected
 for there proven sound quality.
The total design is optimized with extensive listening tests.

 Reference from a customer:
"It is amazing, no hum, very low noise, good
sound-stage and well-balance sounds".

 Batteries
It is a well known and documented fact, that battery powered audio equipment
(separated from the main voltage) sounds substantially better.
There are several plausible reasons for this.
Apart from getting rid of the pollution on the main power,
also the absence of interfering
ground currents adds to the improvement also. What we found in our testing period is:

a much more relaxed projection of the sound images less noise artifactslow hum levelsa complete ‘black’ around the phantom images in the stereo and surround images MaterialsOnly materials of the highest quality are used to ensure maximum performance.
 This means:

use of gold-plated contacts onlyelectronic components are selected for their proven quality in audio equipment, handpicked,  and individually tested.
oxygen-free copper cables for the internal wiringuse of a special process for the production of printed circuit boards, which ensures the purity of the copper pathways, with a specially coated circuit boards
for optimal protection against damp and moisture
This results in a truly wonderful sounding phono stage.

Review of Luke Salih (UK).Comparison of the Sonodore phone pre-amplifier PPA-12 and Nagra BPS:
In essence your phono stage is excellent.
It has more detail, nuance and timbrel detail than the Nagra, and after
about 30mins
of warm up it starts to really communicate emotionally as
good as the Nagra,
letting you feel what the musicians are trying to
conjure with your emotions.
The background is more silent giving you a black palette from which less obvious
tiny bits of information can come out of. Pace rhythm and timing is excellent.
The frequency spectrum from top to bottom is seamless and there are no
exaggerated highs,
so it sounds extremely smooth and natural.
The only area that the Nagra might have the edge is in the lowest bass
notes which seemed
to have just a bit more definition and less bloated
on the Nagra, but that is a small thing and
does not take away from the
whole experience.
Mid and upper bass are absolutely superb both in note definition and speed and decay.
Sound wise, and only relatively speaking, very good value for money, in the audiophile world.
